  23. See above. I'm guessing you still have a 3.0 version of FastFileSystem stored
  24. in your RDB. Some of the 3.1 versions, certainly the one I have (40.1), are
  25. very unstable.

  31. The time delay is minimal, particularly with a disk cache, unless you're using
  32. absolutely huge directories. I'd much rather have slightly sluggish directory
  33. scans than have other disk operations such as read/writes on hundreds of files
  34. bogged down by having to store directory entries _twice_ - try running a tool
  35. such as diskspeed on the same partition formatted with FFS and then with DCFFS
  36. and you will notice a substantial slowdown for many operations.

  38. The speed issues are partly a matter for personal taste, however. Obviously,
  39. with your applications, DCFFS works fine.
